Herb & Flower Gardens at Old Brick

Open May through September.
Tours available on Tuesday mornings during that time.

The herb and flower gardens of the Old Brick have been maintained by a group of dedicated volunteers since 1989.

The gardeners meet on Tuesday mornings from 9:00 to 11:00 from April through September (unless it is raining) to maintain the gardens on the Historical Society campus. Anyone is encouraged to visit during this time to see the gardens or to view the Old Brick.

The largest event that the Garden Committee is responsible for is the Memorial Day Plant Sale. The gardeners divide plants from the Old Brick gardens and from their home gardens to put on sale to the public. Many Society members also make annual donations of plants to this sale.

The Garden Committee also dries flowers to use in arrangements to be displayed in the Old Brick and exchanges them with fresh evergreen arrangements during the holiday season. The committee is also involved with many of the social functions of the Society such as the Annual Meeting, Summer Tea, and Christmas Luncheons.

There is a place on this committee for any volunteer interested in gardening. We have several very experienced gardeners who are always willing to share their expertise with others.
